Salary:     Salary will be $55,285 – 73,934 Annually.

This position supervises a direct service program while being situated part-time between the Children Services, a school in the community, as well as The Family Centre. This position consists of receiving referrals, assigning and managing cases, coordinating services, recruiting, training and supervising staff, maintaining tracking systems, and monitoring trends and issues within their program and neighborhood centre.  We are hiring two full time positions, one is a permanent position starting in June 2017 and the other position is for one year from June 2017 to June 2018.  

Qualifications:     • Degree in the human service field with knowledge, experience and competence in family intervention practice. Two years direct client service experience preferred
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Completion of Police Security Clearance and CYIM (Child and Youth Information System Check) with no outstanding relevant charges. Renewed every three years
• RSW or Equivalent Membership within another professional body
• Verbal and written proficiency in communication skills in English
• Ability to make independent decisions while utilizing sound judgment
• Supervisory, management and Children Services experience an asset
• Computer literacy in word processing, database and email
Description:     • Recruits, orients and trains new staff in consultation with Manager of Family Preservation at a ratio of 6:1. Builds and maintains strong effective staffing teams.
• Receives and negotiates referrals, matches service providers to child/family to provide intensive supports
• Provides proactive guidance, direction, and support to staff while collaborating case management decisions through an integrated approach both internally as well as externally (with Children Services)
• Coordinates case management service delivery both internally as well as externally to the meet needs of families and permanency goals
• Provides consistent caseload review with regard to Quality Assurance standards
• Participates actively in the NCCYF Leadership Team and Service Teams as required
• Assists in the development of and follows policies and procedure in accordance with accreditation standards
• Monitors and reviews staff performance on an on-going basis in compliance with agency policies and professional standards
• Provides Family Preservation Manager with monthly reports that outline internal and external trends and issues
• Consults with Manager of Family Preservation on program activity, program development, utilization and staffing issues
• Have knowledge and understanding of community resources and the access thereof
• Participates in community development through committee involvement or otherwise
• Takes a leadership role in building linkages and working partnerships with formal and informal service providers and stakeholders in the community
• Provides after hours on call Supervision to the Outcomes Based Service Delivery Program
• Interprets agency and program policies to staff
• Practices in a manner that is consistent with TFC mission and beliefs
• Assists Family Preservation Manager with program development and evaluation
