Summary:    

McMan’s CYOC Program provides supports to youth who are exiting out of the Calgary Young Offender’s facility and back into the community.   Staff provides referral and support services to empower youth to make positive life choices.  This program provides transition services to youth who have been in conflict with the law, experienced abuse, family breakdown and homelessness. 

Qualifications:     The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Diploma/Degree in Human Services
• Have experience in working with children and families with complex needs
• Understand and be able to work with numerous social service systems
• Have knowledge and connection to community and professional resources
• Have knowledge of diversity issues around culture, religion and other orientations.
• Have knowledge and understanding of the justice system
• Police check and Child Welfare Check (current within six months)
• Strong writing, organizational, program planning and interpersonal skills
• Valid Driver’s license and adequate insurance coverage.
Description:     McMan’s CYOC Program provides supports to youth who are exiting out of the Calgary Young Offender’s facility and back into the community. This program provides transition services to youth who have been in conflict with the law, experienced abuse, family breakdown and homelessness.
McMan and the CYOC Program are seeking someone who is able to engage and partner with the youth within the Centre. This position will be housed in the Centre working in partnership with the Calgary Young Offenders Centre. The Reintegration Worker will provide one-to-one support to youth in the young offender facility and community by ensuring they connect with appropriate resources and increase their natural supports in the community.
