|Qualifications:||BSW/MSW supplemented by considerable related experience delivering Child Intervention services. Previous Supervisory experience is an asset. Prior supervision in an Intervention Services setting would be preferred. Please ensure to include any and all supervisory experiences within your application. Equivalencies will be considered: related university degree and 4 years direct child intervention experience; OR related diploma and 5 years direct intervention experience.
Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification level and salary.
The final candidate for this position will be asked to undergo academic verification, an Intervention Record Check and provide a Criminal Record Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector screening check. As the Health Professions Act has been proclaimed, successful applicants who possess a BSW, MSW or Diploma in Social Work are required to register and maintain registration with the College of Social Workers. The successful candidate will be required to have a valid Alberta Driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle as travel will be required. The successful candidate will require working knowledge of Microsoft products.

|Description:||Do you enjoy providing guidance and direction while achieving organizational goals? If so, your positive influence and knowledge will be an asset in the Casework Supervisor role. Your focus will be to provide support and direction to the professionals working within Intervention Services and to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with accepted practices and guidelines. You will provide leadership for your team, quality assessment, referrals, case planning, court work and community liaison for children and families in need of intervention. Duties will also include setting both individual and unit goals, maintaining a strong effective team that embraces change and providing ongoing case consultation and supervision with staff.
To meet the challenges of this position you will have extensive knowledge of Intervention Services legislation and policy, child abuse and neglect, family dynamics, case management, team building and community resources. Your clinical skills will also be utilized to provide direction and support to your team of child protection workers providing services that range from assessment to case management. Effective time management and organizational skills are required to effectively prioritize multiple projects and assignments that are diverse and complex. Your well-developed interpersonal communication skills will enhance your ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
