Salary $53,074.51 - $70,016.90 annually effective February 4, 2018
Qualifications:     Qualifications for this role include:
• Bachelor of Social Work, Masters of Social Work, or Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care, OR
• Masters in Educational Counselling/Masters Clinical Psychology with completion of a practicum in family and child welfare.
• NOTE: Employee applicants who are fully delegated (C6 Delegation) will be considered as equivalent to the above criteria
• NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must request a comprehensive report and the MCFD supplemental report to be considered for this competition.
• NOTE: Completion of a practicum in family and child welfare occurs in an agency/organization where a student had the opportunity to practice assessing the needs of children and families in order to develop and provide intervention services to the children and/or families.

Description:     Child Welfare Resources functions as a specialized team under the mandate of the Family and Children’s Services Act. This job description is intended to be used as a generic statement of duties for Resources Workers in all Regions of the province.

The Resource and Guardianship Social Worker promotes and ensures the safety and well-being of children throughout their stay in care. Results and detail oriented, you ensure integrated case management practices are current and meet required service levels and standards, and provide leadership, support and professional development activities to your team, improving professional and integrated services delivery. Employing superior collaborative skills, you will establish and maintain productive working relationships with community partners and provincial, federal and non-governmental agencies.
