|Summary:||Bigstone Cree Nation Child and Family Services is seeking a self motivated, professional individual who has a sincere commitment to children's services.
It will be vital that the incumbent possess strong interviewing and assessment skills, the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and written and have counselling and problem solving skills. Bigstone Cree Nation, Child and Family Services uses the Signs of Safety methodology and practice tools.
|Qualifications:||• BSW or Diploma in Social Work;
• Working knowledge of the Child Youth and Enhancement Act and other Regulations as applicable to protection of children and families;
• Registered with Alberta College of Social Workers;
• Minimum of five (5) years Child and Family work experience;
• Knowledgeable and able to work with CICIO
• Delegation through Child and Youth Services Ministry or qualify to be re-instated
Determine and asses the Childs' safety and develop a safety plan. On-call rotation, assessments, apprehension of children, referrals, court work and community liaison duties. Work with various other government and community agencies to provide services to children, adolescents and families to help meet the child and youths unmet needs. This is a challenging opportunity that requires an individual with well-developed interpersonal skills, time management skills, good organizational skills, strong character and the ability to work with children, adolescents and their families.
