Reporting to the Director of Addiction and Mental Health, the Manager is responsible for a range of community addiction and mental health programs. The manager is accountable for providing direction, team leadership, planning, implementing and evaluating a range of addiction and mental health services. They will be responsible for the day to day operations including time sheets, staff evaluations, work attendance, work performance and clinical and program standards. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
|Qualifications:||• Baccalaureate degree with current licenses and designations.
• Five (5) years in a related role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.
• Experience in a health care setting and provision of addiction and mental health services.
• Demonstration of a dedication to professional and personal development.
• Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered.
• Progressive leadership experience in an addiction and mental health environment.
• Effective communication, strong organization skills and ability to influence and lead change.
• A commitment to quality services that are client focused.
• Confidence in decision making, coaching and mentoring and initiating difficult conversations.
• Ability to build confidence in others.

|Description:||As a member of the North Zone, Addiction and Mental Health management team, you will be: Involved in development and delivery of client and family focused care approaches. Required to advance the use of technology in service delivery to rural communities throughout your geographic area of responsibility. Provide leadership through effective communication, ethical decision making, commitment to established goals and objectives, ensuring outcome measurement and enforcing standards. Contribute to the formulation of policies, developing programs and administering all programs. Be a champion of integration of services within primary care while maintaining accessible services within existing sites. Plan work activities and take independent action in controlling the quality of work performed, promptly addressing professional practice concerns across several disciplines. Identify key challenges and opportunities and provide leadership to support the development of innovative approaches to service delivery that aligns with the larger AHS vision. Foster a healthy workplace with a commitment to evidence based, quality client care and family involvement and support when appropriate. The importance of delivering services in a way that maximizes capacity to deliver quality care to a diverse population. Incorporate quality improvement processes as per the AHS Improvement Way (AIW) and Access Improvement Measures (AIM) processes.|
