Masters degree in Social Work (psychosocial intervention designation is required)
Current registration with relevant professional body.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience in child and adolescent mental health assessment and treatment.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Respect for other disciplines and an ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong staff development skills to optimize team functioning.
Experience in research and program evaluation desirable.
Access to a reliable vehicle, as travel is required.

Join the innovative Children’s Day Program (CDP) team that is dynamic, collaborative and loves to have fun! The CDP team supports children and their families in grades 3 to 6 experiencing severe emotional, behavioral, learning and social difficulties in their home, school and community environments. The team is comprised of classroom behaviour specialists, a psychiatrist, a psychologist and an administrative assistant.
In collaboration with the Psychiatrist, the Clinical Lead provides leadership and expertise to the team and patients.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provides mental health care to children (assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy) in a school and family-based environment
Individual, family and group psychotherapies.
Provides clinical supervision and coaching based on best practice models.
Facilitates collaborative relationships and effective transitions across programs and to community schools.
Contributes to the development and leads the implementation of program practice standards, policies and procedures and changes in practice within the program clinical model.
Identifies quality improvement opportunities and contributes to planning and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Works collaboratively with the education team to provide and/or facilitate clinical education and skills training
Collaborates with the Program Manager during the performance appraisal process of team members by providing clinical performance feedback.
