The Athabasca County Family & Community Support Services Program is currently accepting applications for an Early Childhood Development Coordinator.
The ECD Program provides support and resources to families and Early Childhood Development programs in the service area to meet the needs of children 0 to 5 years of age.
This is a permanent, part time position working 21 hours per week. The wage for this positon ranges between $28.04 - $32.80/hour.
A clear Child Intervention Record Check and Criminal Records/Vulnerable Population Check are required.

|Qualifications:|| Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood, Social Work, or Human Services preferred
Knowledge of Early Childhood Development
Ability to plan and facilitate activities for young children
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Understand importance of confidentiality
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Ability and willingness to receive training to enhance knowledge and skills
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
A clear Criminal Record/Vulnerable Population Check from the R.C.M.P. and a Child Intervention Record Check from Children’s Services will be required.
|Description:||Under supervision, provides support and resources to families and Early Childhood Development programs in the service area to meet the needs of children 0 to 5 years of age. This program works closely with the Parent Link Center to provide activities for children and their parents, as well as childcare and subsidies for programs and workshops.
Under direction from the Community Programs Coordinator, the duties of the position will include the following:
Plan, provide and coordinate services through the ECD program as outlined in CS contract.
Develop supportive relationships with local ECD programs.
Arrange training and networking opportunities for ECD programs.
Provide assistance to the Parent Link Programmers as needed.
Complete interim and year end reports for Early Childhood Development Specialist as outlined in the CS contract.
Complete monthly reports for FCSS.
Collect evaluations from program participants to evaluate services and use in future planning.
Develop and distribute promotional materials through ECD programs and local agencies.
Maintain professionalism, including sensitivity to confidential information or documentation.
