|Qualifications:||A four-year bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required. Training in Social Work, Gender Studies, Psychology, Human Services, and Sociology are considered an asset.
The successful candidate will have five years' experience working in health or education sectors with specific experience in responding to and/or preventing sexual violence through counseling, education programs or teaching.
Case management experience acquired through a combination of education, training and experience, preferably in the field of sexual violence, is an asset.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong intersectional and anti-oppressive analysis of sexual violence and proven ability to operationalize this analysis in professional practice. A high level of knowledge and skill in assessing and providing a trauma-informed response to disclosures of sexual violence, with a high degree of intercultural competence and understanding of differential impacts of trauma on diverse community members, is required.
The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy; establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and engage and build rapport with diverse campus groups. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software applications as well as highly developed research capabilities are also required.
The incumbent must be able to coordinate, develop, and facilitate campus-wide training and educational campaigns, with excellent time management, organizational and decision-making skills, and a strong ability to work both independently and as a team.
