This panel presentation will discuss the current opioid health crisis that has cost hundreds of lives across the country, with the highest death tolls in BC and Alberta – Alberta seeing upwards of 400 deaths in 2016.

Faculty, staff and students will hear a panel presentation that will explain:

  • The current state of the opioid crisis
  • Underlying reasons and causes
  • Measures that have been taken and/or should be taken to address the crisis
