Life-long Learning & Completing Your Portfolio


Come learn the history, legislative background and current requirements of the Continuing Competence Program, that affect social workers across the lifespan of their career. This workshop will guide you through completing your annual portfolio and learning new user-friendly updates.

Presenter:

Bruce Llewellyn, MSW, RSW

Bruce received training in Human Social Functioning in 1981. He employed this theory and methodology throughout his career as a caseworker. Bruce maintains his membership with the British Association of Social Functioning (BASF). In October 2014 he travelled to Wales to take advanced training in Human Social Functioning. He is eager to share his life-long learning with others who may benefit from the theory and practice of Human Social Functioning.

Suzanne Mackinnon, MSW, RCSW

Suzanne studied social work at Jane Addams College of Social Work in Chicago and has worked in forensic clinical social work and community development in Colorado and British Columbia. She takes particular interest in non-traditional social work and multi-disciplinary collaborative practice to improve the functioning of individuals, families, systems, and society. Suzanne is excited to share her passion and experience with others. 

Attendance Requirements:  

In order to receive the 3 Category A credits participants must attend the entire workshop.
Partial credits will not be provided.

Fees (Include Supper):

$40 for RSW and ACSW members

$25 for ACSW student members

$30 for other social work students

$80 for all other participants

Please be sure to indicate any dietary concerns.

Supper and networking opportunity will be provided from 5:00 - 5:30 PM.
