Self-care is an important component of being a social worker. Mindfulness and self-compassion have many benefits, permitting us to be more aware of what we need to stay healthy, so we can help others.

Workshop Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Doors open at 5:30pm.

Charles Chenard, BSW, RSW, MPS/AT, CCC
 

Charles Chenard is a social worker, spiritually informed psychotherapist, art therapist and theatre artist. He is presently a counsellor at Strathcona County Family and Community Services based in Sherwood Park, Alberta.  In addition to his social work/counselling background, Charles has extensive experience in the theatre arts and has been involved in various aspects of Alberta’s theatre scene since 1988, including more than 50 productions. He has facilitated workshops and classes on playwriting, acting, Commedia dell’arte, masks, movement and improvisation. His professional interests include merging expressive art, visual art with narrative therapy.



Attendance Requirements:  

In order to receive the 3 Category A credits participants must attend the entire workshop.
Partial credits will not be provided.

Fees (Include Dinner):

$35 for RSW and ACSW members

$25 for ACSW student members

$30 for other social work students

$50 for all other participants

Please be sure to indicate any dietary concerns.

Dinner will be provided by Pasta Pantry.
