The LGBTQ Health Forum will provide an opportunity to address some of the gaps in healtchare training for practicing physicians, students, allied health care providers, and community members. The day will begin with introductory talks discussing LGBTQ health in broad strokes. The plenary speaker and trans icon, Dr. Carys Massarella, will then give an exciting discussion regarding improving patient care for transgender individuals by introducing clinicians to inclusive language for transgender patients and the foundations of transgender health care and advocacy. Immediately prior to and following a lunch break will provide time for forum attendees to gain focused knowledge from a wide range of workshops delivered by organizations and clinicians working in LGBTQ health from across Canada. Sessions and workshops are open to all audiences; however, many workshops are clinically oriented and geared toward health care providers and students. The day will conclude with a panel discussion with community members and health professionals that offer attendees personal insight into LGBTQ healthcare experiences. Please join us for an interactive and inclusive day of learning and networking! For more information and to register, please see http://www.lgbtqhealthforum.com
