This workshop is open to all ACSW members interested in starting up a private practice.

The workshop will include:

• Exploring elements that should be examined when considering to start a private practice. Such as legal, accounting, space, marketing/advertising and business plan considerations
• Participants will have an opportunity to create their 10 second elevator pitch
• Group work and case scenarios

Presenters:

Liz Hides MSW, RSW, CT
 
Liz is the owner of Healthy Directions and has been in private practice for 10 years. She is also co-chair of the ACSW Private Practice Steering Committee. Liz’s practice focuses on grief, loss and life transitions especially suicide, homicide and sudden death.


Sharon Stopforth MSW, RSW
 
Sharon has been in private practice for 10 years and is a member of the ACSW Private Practice Steering Committee.  Sharon’s practice specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, self-esteem and co-dependence.  Sharon is a Certified Integrative Body Psychotherapy. 



Attendance Requirements:  

In order to receive the 4 Category A credits participants must attend the entire workshop.
Partial credits will not be provided.

Fees (Include Lunch):

$40 for RSW and ACSW members

$25 for ACSW student members

$30 for other social work students

$80 for all other participants
