The Blanket Exercise is an experiential experience as it related to colonization of Indigenous People in Canada - from pre contact to present day. This can be an emotional experience.

Michelle Nieviadomy
Michelle Nieviadomy received the 2013 Esquao Award Clara Woodbridge Community Involvement for her work within the Indigenous community in Edmonton. As the Assistant Director at the Edmonton Native Healing Centre, Michelle has found innovative and creative ways to fuse her passion for community development with the urban Indigenous community. She is engaged in various community initiatives, as well as being an entrepreneur (she owns Iskwew Health & Wellness). Michelle is a member of the Kawacatoose First Nation.
Attendance Requirements:
In order to receive the 2 Category A credits participants must attend for the entire workshop.
Partial credits will not be provided.
Fees:
$20 for RSW and ACSW members
$10 for ACSW student members
$15 for other social work students
$40 for all other participants
Light snacks will be provided.
Maximum Participants: 25
Due to the low registration fee NO refunds for cancellation will be given.
