Skillful facilitation of communication in couple and families is paramount to social work. This experiential workshop will equip social workers with concepts and skills to facilitate family communication to improve conditions in mental health and addiction. Participants will be able to incorporate communication as an essential component in their toolkit in trauma-informed work. Dr. Bonnie Lee, MSW (RSW) and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, is an Associate Professor and Research Chair in Addictions Counselling at the University of Lethbridge. This workshop is part of her program in knowledge translation of evidence-based knowledge into practice.
